DESCRIPTION
Fragrance / Aromatic additive
Concentrated liquid designed for use in manufacturing cosmetic products such as soaps, shampoo, creams, gels, deodorants, bath salts and bath bombs.
Practical formulation guide
Usage level: Between 0.05 % and 3 % of the total weight of the final product
How to use and incorporate: Add at the end of the process with the base below 40 °C/104 °F and gentle stirring until uniform. For toners, splashes or clear water-based products, premix with a solubilizer (polysorbate 20 or PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, 1:3 to 1:5) before adding.
Formulation tips:
- Run an odor and color test in the final base: some fragrances turn yellow with light or in alkaline bases (soap) and can change the viscosity of shampoos and gels; adjust viscosity after adding fragrance.
- Declare fragrance allergens on the label when required by the regulations of the destination market; request the fragrance's IFRA certificate.
- Before scaling up, make a pilot batch and run a stability test (cycles at 4 / 25 / 45 °C/39 / 77 / 113 °F for 4 weeks, checking odor, color, pH, viscosity and separation) in the final packaging.
Compatibility: Compatible with most cosmetic bases; check stability in bases with extreme pH.
Storage: Keep closed, in a cool, dry place and out of reach of children
Precautions: Do not ingest. Avoid direct contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Concentrated product for formulation: do not apply undiluted to the skin. Flammable: keep away from flames.
