CARBOPOL 940
Description: Crosslinked acrylic acid polymer used as a gelling agent, thickener and stabilizer in cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations requiring high viscosity and clear gel structures.

| Applications | Facial gels, serums, moisturizing creams, acne treatment products, hair gels, antibacterial hand gels, shower gels, body lotions and pharmaceutical topical gels. |
| Recommended Usage | 0.1 – 1.0% depending on the desired viscosity. Clear gels: 0.5 – 1.0%. Creams and lotions: 0.1 – 0.5%. |
| Handling | Disperse in water with constant agitation and allow to hydrate for approximately 30 minutes before neutralizing with a base such as triethanolamine or sodium hydroxide. |
| Storage | Store in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight and heat. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption. |
